Doubt...

Had my oxford thinking skills assessment yesterday at british council and i think i wrote pure rubbish in it. finally oxford preparation is over and thought i could get back to life.

Just realised that next year's exam timetable would not be hectic but there are still subjects that I need to improve in. Econs cannot rely on the teacher so I am forced to do my own studies. The teacher is my mentor too but I wonder whether she even knows that I went for the assessment test. currently picking up statistics 1 & 2 by having 1 on 1 tuition which cost rm125 per hour so that wont be a worry. accounting i could pick up in 2 weeks so there's no hurry. the only subject im worried now is further pure maths 1.

I am starting to doubt whether college is the right move for me because I feel that im wasting my time. I have got business ideas and I wouldnt fulfil my dream to be a successful businessman if i continue to waste my time at college.

Help...

Finally i got the chance to blog.

Did I mention that I have joined Help Uni College? yeah i have!!

It was a stunning decision to quit studying at a private college in Cambrigde and return to home country to continue my a-levels at a 3rd class college. Well, to be honest, i really miss Cambridge it was a lovely city with lovely people. I remember hanging out with Nigerians like James, David Oguche and all the Chinese and other nationalities people. It was fun.

Well.. I wanted to go back but my priorities told me that I would gain more if I stayed in Malaysia and so I did. And so I did my oxford interview and now waiting for the thinking skills assessment. I have decided to join toastmasters club and leo club at the start of my semester. And now since my LAN subjects started today, I am gonna have a busy schedule. Lucky Malaysians who continue studies in Cambridge dont have to take LAN subjects. The college is so screwed up that LAN subjects are from 4-7pm monday to thursday. There goes my sports. T.T

Now Im taking Accounting, Maths, Further Maths and Economics. All my subjects are surrounded by figures which I find very very boring. Personally I think all the Maths teachers at Help college are very good but I do not have the slightest interest in it and thats why Im suffering at college now. 80% of my subjects are maths based. a 360 degree turn from the subjects I did at Cambridge which were Philosophy, Economics, Critical Thinking, History and Maths. 90% language based. Worse is that my current economics teacher has no teaching skills and lack of knowledge of the subject. She too full of herself at times and she would not accept answers from students because she thinks that she knows alot, but she doesnt. Thank GOD im good at this subject and I could do my self-study. I pity my friends who rely on her to score in exams. GOD BLESS!!!

International Youth Leadership Conference - Day 1

Today I woke up at 8:15am to find myself late for the prague tour. When I went down for breakfast, I was still in time as the girls delayed the trip till 9am. So, at 9am we departed for Charles Bridge with 2 Brits, 2 Pakistanese, 3 Indonesians, 1 Singaporean and 1 American.

The trip was fantastic and the places were beautiful. But as usual the girls were so keen on taking pictures so we had to stop every 5 steps forward to say ''cheesseee'' or for me I would say '' sexxxx''. ^_0

We walked on Charles Bridge and went to Prague Castle. The castle was huge and it was absolutely amazing. The queue into the castle was comparable to the length of the Great Wall of China. Ok... thats too much but anyway there was a long queue so the girls decided to go shopping instead. The guys?? how boring... we went to mcdonalds for lunch and went straight back to the hotel after lunch.

We registered at the conference venue at 5pm and the first activity started at night, meeting members of my group and discussing issues bout Kosovo's independence. Our night ended in a pub and I went to sleep at 2am.

Pragueeee...

Finally I am in prague for the International Youth Leadership Conference. Was waiting for it since the start of my summer holiday and here it is. I am in Pragueee..
My parents dropped me off at East Midlands airport at 3pm this evening after visiting Warwick University. To be honest the uni looked much better than Oxford and cambridge uni but I still wish to get into Oxford uni to study PPE.

The flight to Prague took about 1 hour and 30mins and I reached Prague airport at around 9pm. I wandered around the airport to look for the conference people to escort me to the hotel but I saw nobody. In the end I decided to go to the hotel on my own. Knowing no Czech language, I found my way to the hotel thanks alot to the helpful bus driver.

I reached the hotel at 10pm and immediately I met the other only Malaysian attendee and other attendees from pakistan, united kingdom, singapore, pakistan, morocco, india and south korea. They were all so sociable. I joined the group of people who were already there and went online. When others who arrived later, they would just introduce themselves to everyone without fear, something which is uncommon in malaysia.

In the end I chatted with a singaporean and a brit until 2am and we have to wake up tomorrow at 7am to tour around famous places in prague before the conference starts.

Flat...

Today was another boring day for me. Woke up late and left hotel late to check out our flats in kensington london. We agreed to meet the tenant at around 2-3pm but we arrived at 4pm. We had to delay the meeting to 7pm and we used the 3hours gap to visit the second flat. We walked and walked and walked and all we did was walking. We arrived at the flat and I went straight to the TV room and watched BBC news and Golden Balls. How jobless rite??

Actually Golden Balls was quite interesting and it was all about trust and greed. We left the flat 2 hours later and went back to the first flat which we spend another 1-2 hours and had chinese for dinner. how boring rite? didnt even feel like blogging such an unproductive day. sigh.
I was all flat when i got home and i went straight into bed like last night. --.-

Today I spend my whole day shopping with my mom but bought nothing. Early in the morning we decided to stay for another night at this hotel because it was worth the price and we left to shop at the Harrods by noon. Harrods was a big big shopping centre with everything girls needed especially for designers stuff.

It was Harrods sales so my mom was very keen to go there and I went along. They had millions of clothes, hundred thousands of shoes and many more stuff to be bought. The very first thing that attracted me was their food department. You could find any food around the world there but the place was for rich people so the price was amazing too. After surfing around the area we went to De Beers jewellery shop to shop for some rings. I was so keen to get my mom to buy the £80000 3-carat diamond ring but she claimed it was too big for her hand so we went searching for a 2.78-carat ring which was just right for her hand but they didnt have any left so I think she would return to the shop next week to get it. But seriously the 3-carat diamond ring was so pretty you would melt looking at it.

After spending 2hours looking at diamonds we went to womenswear. My mom picked on a few to try but since they have closed down the two individual fitting rooms, they had only 1 large fitting room left which many people would go into and change. She didnt know at the time and I was so surprised that she came out 20seconds after entering the room because she couldnt bare changing in front of other ladies. I was laughing how the salesladies looked at my mom when my mom requested for individual fitting room. haha. ladies cant even let other ladies to look at them.
After clothes we shopped for handbags. The price for chanel bags have risen by like 30% compared to last year. My mom bought one last year at £900 and now it cost £1300 after discount. So my mom didnt buy any bags which actually suprised me.
The place was so big that we could only shop at several sections for several brands. When we left it was already 8pm and I think we only covered 30% of the whole shopping centre. I was so exhausted when I got back after standing for such long hours watching my mom shop. When to bed and slept immediately after i got home. zzz.

Today I was supposed to wake up at 6:30am to prepare myself for my flight at 10am but instead I slept until 7:30am. Did everything very fast and rushed to the airport. Long queue at the airport for those using Malaysian Airlines and by the time we got to the gate it was already 9:50am, 10mins before the plane take off.

Couldnt sleep very well in the plane but still got away with 1 to 2 hours sleep. watched encarnation which was omg so so boring, spiderwick which its beginning was quite interesting and run fat boy run which was so funny but i couldnt finish it. I swear would recommend this movie to everyone it was so funny. Oh, just to benefit everyone, I would recommend this trick that my mom used if she's ever to travel in economy class. She would book the very back centre aisle seats and since people would demand for aisle seats and after the aisle seats are being filled up, they would automatically fill up middle seats from the front. So if we are lucky, there might not be enough people filling up the middle seats and we at the back would enjoy 4 seats for 2 people as we are sat at the aisle seats and the middle seats were empty. and we could take turns to actually sleep horizontally in the airplane.

At heathrow airport was terrible. Longest queue ever 1 1/2 hours to check in. so bored wanted to go online but they charged for usage, unlike in klia airport which was free. we got there in the afternoon but by the time we got out it was already night time. And what was great was that we havent booked any hotels yet. I had to call my sister to book us a hotel if not we would have to sleep at the airport. But luckily we got a nice hotel near Queensway and we spent our 1st night there.

Lastminute.com

Gonna leave for London soon and still havent started packing and now is already 11:45pm. Parents are still out for dinner and I wonder when they would be back. Worse is that my grandfather, uncle and cousins arrived and I have to serve them soon. Good thing is that I get to meet my grandfather. sigh.

This morning I went to Midvalley to meet Tania and my NZ friend quin leng. They were still fine as usual and I passed them my Leo project document. Hope they could manage it for me while I am away for my Euro trip.

I met my parents at 2pm at Dragon-i where we had our lovely siew long pau and dumplings. I swear their siew long paus were really top class and everyone should give it a go. well at least not for Muslims sorry because it contains pork. Didnt do much in Midvalley besides being hung up-side-down in the centre court just to try out some new sporting EQs.

Went home and had a nice chat with sher min and ate my delicious eel and nandos sauce-marinated-chicken. Yummy.... and here i am typing this blog. Leaving tomorrow and coming back on 1st aug. Looking forward to my Prague conference. :-)
